Making Disciples

Transforming Lives

We strive to transform lives through worship, Christian Education, and by making personal and material resources of our church available to those in our community.

We provide Snack Packs and tutoring each week to a local elementary school, support our local food pantry, organize the annual Salvation Army basket project, provide space for two NA groups to meet, provide leadership help for a local Cub Scout troop, and are connected to the world through our connectional giving to the Ohio River Valley District and the West Ohio Conference

Building Christian Community

Christian Education programs are the primary disciple-making activities at Franklin First UMC.

Two Adult ed classes meet on Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m. During December, the classes have combined for a study of Adam Hamilton's book The Journey.

Children's ed class, Sunday 9:30 a.m.

We also hold studies throughout the year on books and special topics. In 2019, a "Fact Track Disciple Study" will be offered. Details TBA.

We strive to build Christian community through worship, Christian service, and congregational care activities.

We offer an Open Doors ministry, where the building is open each weekday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Many Franklin Churches serve dinners throughout the week. Our church offers free hot meals many Tuesday evenings.
